Our Story
Chiquita Scoops Inc. is an immigrant, women, family-owned and operated ice cream shop. It all began with our daughter’s love for ice cream and wanting to bring our family’s dream to life with opening Chiquita Scoops.
Our ice cream shop is located in the Gladstone Park area. Co-Owner Joel Gonzalez grew up in the area since the age of 5 years old. Being able to bring communities together through their love of ice cream and showing our Mexican, Puerto Rican Culture is what excites our little family.

The Gonzalez family is excited to be an ice cream staple in the area. Mireya Gonzalez, Co-Owner, once a dreamer under the DACA program, wants to bring light that “Si Se Puede” and to never give up on your dreams. Chiquita Scoops began as a dream and has become reality through hard work and persistence.
